Today Mencos “Baby Funk” from Batu Keras styled his way to victory in the 'Best West Java' Longboard division with a combination classic maneuvers such as Hang 10’s and 'Cheater 5’s. Organizers also ran Round 3 of the Open division which saw several upsets and a string of close heats.

Best West Java 2011 - Day 1
West Java’s most consistent righthand surf break, Cimaja, turned it on for the first day of the 'Best West Java 2011 presented by Quiksilver'. Organizers had a busy day, holding Round 1, the longboard division, and wrapping up the Roxy Pro, which saw Lis from Pangandaran (West Java) crowned champ.
